Increased Yield of Three Shallot Varieties from Seed with Addition of Liquid Organic Fertilizer in the Highlands

Abstract Shallots are a vegetable commodity that is considered used as spice in cooking, so the need of consumer high. To supply this high consumption needed increased productivity. Productivity can be by using varieties suitable for growing environment, quality seeds, and proper fertilization. One uses seeds from but to obtain production appropriate fertilization necessary. The goal study establish liquid organic fertilizers type shallot variety true seed (TSS) increase yield highlands. This research was conducted IP2TP Berastagi, with height 1340 m asl andisol. May September 2018. Randomized Block Design factorial design 3 replications. first factor fertilizer (LOF): Without LOF, Rabbit manure Fish LOF. second seed: Bima, Trisula, Tuktuk. results showed growth shallots had no effect giving seeds. Trisula adapt grow produce well highlands, while Tuk-tuk only adapted Bima less adaptive yield. rabbit able give best compared other treatment combinations (increased 13.70 – 65.10%.). recommended planting highlands utilizing LOF manure.
